Visit Drogheda on Saturday 16th  and Sunday 17th June for the fabulous, family-friendly Irish Maritime Festival. For 2 days every summer, Drogheda’s busy working Port is converted into a family fun-zone. Enjoy the Parade of Sail on Friday at noon when all of the visiting vessels sail into Drogheda together. On Saturday and Sunday climb aboard and explore the majestic Tall Ships and the 3 French Naval vessels.

But it’s not just “on-the-water” action, there’s loads to see, do and explore on-shore too!

Build a sandcastle or dig for archaeological treasures in The Sand Shanty. Take a spin in the teacups in Finn MacCool’s Fairground.

Listen to live music on the Ballast Quay Stage or catch “Fleadh Fever” at the trad music stage.

Visit the artists in Lir’s World of Art and let the kids take part in the kids craft workshops.

Learn all about life on and under the water in the Maritime Discovery Zone. Meet The Irish Coast Guard, RNLI and Inland Waterways Ireland. Talk to the team from Boyne Boats and the Irish Power Kite and Sand Yachts. Think about how we protect and preserve our seas with the team from Seastainability and discover what Education through Recreation and Outdoors and Dirty do to help you stay fit and full of fun.

Visit Virgin Media’s Pop Up Store with their giant classic games to play. Virgin Media are proud sponsors of the Irish Maritime Festival, for the third year in a row.
