It’s not just boats, music and food at the Irish Maritime Festival … it’s also a showcase of local talent and craft businesses.

Shells DriftwoodVisit Lir’s World of Art to experience the artwork of wonderful local artists. Hosted by the Amergin Artists Co-op, this display will include maritime and local scenes by a selection of talented artists from across the region.

The little ones can unleash their own creativity in the children’s art zone under the careful tuition of the Amergin artists.

Check out the classic super-sized games at the Virgin Media Venue 1 display beside the food zone.

The kids will love the kids disco in The Living Room by Sarsfields from 3.00 – 4.00 pm each day, while Martin the Magician will entertain them on Saturday from 5.00 – 6.00 pm and Sunday from 4.45 – 5.45 pm.

The Big DigPop into the artisan food zone to meet local craftspeople displaying their handmade driftwood crafts, handmade Irish jewellery and organic health & beauty products. You’re bound to find a beautiful gift for that special someone or even a treat for yourself.

And don’t miss The Sand Shanty, always a popular destination at the Irish Maritime Festival for kids. Build a sandcastle in the sand pit or learn all about archaeology from the team in The Big Dig.
